Mikhail Gorbachev on the three biggest events of the outgoing year
Mikhail Gorbachev agreed to respond to Kommersant business daily’s request to name the top three events of 2015 according to him. We have published his list on our website.
1. Aggravation of the global problem of terrorism; the emergence of the "Terrorist International" of a sort, as a challenge to the world.
2. Explosive growth in the flow of refugees to the European continent, with hundreds of thousands fleeing poverty and underdevelopment, aggravated by military conflicts.
3. In 2015, I became a great grandfather of two – my younger granddaughter, Nastya, had a baby son.
