А Great Thank you, Mr. Gorbachev! Letter of Kristoffer Frøkjær (Denmark) to Mikhail GorbachevDear Mr. Gorbachev – I hope this letter will reach you. I was 13 years old when you met with Ronald Reagan in Iceland and started the nuclear weapons disarmament.
I was 16 years old when you, together with the german people, made the Berlin wall fall.
Both events made deep impressions on me and gave me hope for a better world.
Today I have children of my own, and I can better grasp the magnitude of what you did, and what courage it must have taken.
I can not thank you enough for making it happen and making the world as safer and better place. You are a true hero.

The XXI century will be a сentury either of total all-embracing crisis or of moral and spiritual healing that will reinvigorate humankind. It is my conviction that all of us - all reasonable political leaders, all spiritual and ideological movements, all faiths - must help in this transition to a triumph of humanism and justice, in making the XXI century a century of a new human renaissance.
