U.S. Tourists Visit the Gorbachev Foundation’s Perestroika Exhibit
Under a contract with the U.S.-based tourist agency Vantage Deluxe World Travel, several groups of tourists from the United States visited Mikhail Gorbachev: Life and Reforms Exhibit in summer 2006 as part of their trip to Russia. Before taking the tour of the Exhibit Center, U.S. tourists listened with great interest to a presentation on the activities of the Gorbachev Foundation. Mikhail Gorbachev met one of the visitor groups and answered numerous questions from the audience about the situation in the world and today’s Russia. |
The XXI century will be a сentury either of total all-embracing crisis or of moral and spiritual healing that will reinvigorate humankind. It is my conviction that all of us - all reasonable political leaders, all spiritual and ideological movements, all faiths - must help in this transition to a triumph of humanism and justice, in making the XXI century a century of a new human renaissance.
